AMD Answers Back
On that note, we should say finally. After being dominated in the computer market, AMD answers back with a quad core CPU, code named AMD Phenom. AMD’s Phenom will be available from the 2.2GHz to 2.4GHz. AMD’s Phenom will be on the same ball game as Intel’s low end quad core CPUs. What’s interesting is that the Phenom has an L3 cache and is backwards compatible with Socket AM2. Only time will tell how AMD’s Phenom will play against Intel’s quad core lineup.
