View 2007 Documents in Office 2003
For some odd reason Microsoft made it so you cannot view Office 2007 Documents in an Office 2003 application. There are two ways, that I know of, to get around this inconvenience. One is that you can download Office 2007 Compatibility pack. This packs allows you to “Open, edit, and save documents, workbooks, and presentations in the file formats new to Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint 2007.” You can download that here.
Also the other way is to save your documents in a way that will allow Office 2003 to view it. When you have a document, go to File… Save As then Save As Type Word 97-2003. This will allow you to view the document in other Past Office Suites.
